Senior Helpers of Polk County is owned and operated by a husband and wife team: Nancy and Jorge Giraldo. Both Nancy and Jorge bring with them a wealth of experience ranging from health care to operations management, as well as caring spirits and the drive to make a difference in the lives of seniors and their families in our communities!

Nancy is a Registered Nurse (RN) with a BS in Nursing (BSN) from the College of Mount St. Vincent (NY). Her passion has always been to help others any way she can. She has worked in various RN roles, ranging from Neo-Natal Intensive Care Units caring for premature newborns, Medical Surgical units caring for patients ages 18+, a Dialysis nurse as well as an Admissions nurse. She has always carried with her one true focus- ensuring her patients were always taken care of properly by providing a superior customer service experience! Nancy serves as company President.

Jorge has a B.A. in Biological Sciences from Rutgers University (NJ), MBA in Financial Management and certificate in International Business from Iona College (NY). In addition, Jorge has recently completed his Certified Senior Advisor designation and is now a member of the Society of Certified Senior Advisors. Jorge has worked in various roles throughout his career, ranging from laboratory work, sales, and operations management in the pharmaceutical and medical device industries. His passion is to help others any way he can and he finally found his dream career- business owner providing a superior customer service experience and helping others on a full-time basis! Jorge serves as company CEO.

Jorge and Nancy share a life goal--that of helping others any way they can. Their concern for the well-being of others combined with their professional and educational experiences allows them to run a compassionate and professional organization that focuses on providing a superior customer service experience at affordable prices!

Lori Cumberledge is the Office Assistant for Senior Helpers. Lori brings with her over 14 years of Administrative and HR experience. She believes that providing exceptional customer service should be a way of life, not just for the work day. Lori's academic background is in English and Fine Arts. She is a published author and has written articles for local and regional publications, and has also been published in literary magazines. Lori is very active in the Lakeland community and is a wealth of knowledge and resources.
